My First Trip to Vegas!

Last week, I made my first-ever trip to Las Vegas for a work conference. We flew in a few days before the conference to make sure everything was setup and registration bags were stuffed. We stayed an extra day after the conference to relax a little and just enjoy the city. I was inside the hotel most of the time, and didn’t get much time to wander around the strip and do touristy things…but I had a blast! I didn’t even get my camera out until the last full day we were there because it was just too much to carry around with me everywhere.

We stayed at The Venetian and it was uhhhhhmaaaaazing. Our service was stellar and the food was to die for. We dined at quite a few restaurants during our stay, but the one that will be forever in my heart is B&B Ristorante. The Wine Director came out and gave us a presentation on the wines we were drinking, and told us all about their history. Before our server, Tara, started taking the group’s dinner order, I pulled her aside and proceeded to point out where our President was sitting at the table. She looked at me with a smile and said, “I know. I Googled your company before you got here.” You did whaaaaa?!?! Talk about taking service to the next level. I am forever a fan!

We headed out to Hoover Dam on Saturday. I actually wasn’t even going to go, but my engineer husband told me I was crazy if I didn’t go see it. He was right. It was stunning!

On Saturday, I also got to meet up with an old friend from college, and meet her fiancé. As we finished up our yummy dinner, a storm started rolling in. By the time I got back to my hotel room after dinner, the sun was almost gone, but lit up the clouds and mountains just enough to make me stop what I was doing…

Here’s a few instagram photos, too. Most of the trip was captured on instagram with my iPhone. So, you can head over to my instagram feed if you want to see more of my trip.:)
