Edison – A Birth Story | Danville Birth Photographer

A few months before Edison was born, I talked to his mom [Ashley] and dad [David] about shooting his birth. Ashley was all for it, but David was a little weary. We finally talked David into it….errr….I think he agreed to it?!:)

Ryan and I were on our way home from a friend’s house and right before we got home, I got a text from Ashley at 11pm that her water broke and she and David were on their way to the hospital.

Let me rewind a little. David was supposed to go out of town that weekend. And Ashley spent her day being the Maid of Honor in her best friend’s wedding at Purdue. She made it through the entire ceremony and the reception! David didn’t end up going out of town, and went to the wedding instead. Less than an hour after they got home from Purdue, Ashley had just taken her makeup off and her water broke.

When I got to the hospital, the pain medicine hadn’t quite kicked in yet. David was so sweet and was by Ashley’s side the entire time.

Edison David entered the world on Sunday, September 25 at 6:19am. Here is his birth story.

Ashley and David, I seriously cannot thank you enough for letting me be a part of this amazing experience.
