Jordan is one of my oldest friends. We’ve known each other since elementary school. And when we first became friends, we literally spent every waking minute together.
Jordan’s mom, Judy, would introduce us as “Jordan and Cambrie…they’re joined at the hip.” For our sixth grade graduation, we wore the same dress (ahemmm….they were different colors) and matching jelly sandals.
We spent our summers swimming at Edgewood Country Club. Jordan’s dad, Greg, had a membership there and every time we would order food, we would just give them a number and it would go straight to his account; that was like the coolest thing ever to me at the time. I remember going with Jordan to help move her sister, Amber, into college. I remember Jordan’s other sister, Autumn, driving us to school every day in that maroon Beretta. We’d stop at Ricker’s every morning and get our 53¢ Ricker’s pop. And I remember driving around Grandview in the back of Brandon Bussel’s El Camino. We were inseparable and the best of friends.
After high school and college, we grew apart. But the friendship we had developed over the years never really left us. And for that, I am thankful.
Jordan and Brandon got married last April and they just welcomed their first baby girl, Maci, into the world on June 19th – Father’s Day. We got their maternity session in just in time! Maci wasn’t supposed to be born until July, but she came a little early…just days after we shot this session.
I can’t wait to meet Maci! Brandon – thanks for being a good sport.
